IBA certification

The International Behavior Analyst (IB) certification is obtained after a candidate demonstrates they have completed various educational, experiential, practice, and supervision-related tasks and activities. The IBA is an accomplishment that shows the world that the individual is a competent behavior analyst and ready to provide effective, ethical, behavioural services in homes, schools, and a variety of community settings.
The IBA program delivers a flexible but rigorous fully online Verified Course Sequence approved by the IBAO addressing all of the information required to take the International Behavior Analyst (IBA) exam. The IBA requirements are:
1. Registration,
2. Completion of Educational Requirements,
3. Completion of Candidate Projects,
4. Completion of 1000 hours of Supervised Practice,
5. Completion of 50 of Supervision,
6. Completion of 12 Hours of Continuing Education,
7. Completion of Candidate Skill testing,
8. Passing the IBA Online Exam.

Candidate Projects:
Start Date: September, 2025

For candidates seeking certification through the Experience Route, candidate projects are required. The candidate's supervisor will be the person responsible for assigning and evaluating the candidate projects.

  • Two different candidate projects are required.
  • Two different TYPES of projects are required.
  • A Candiate Project Evaluation Form is required for each project.
  • These forms are completed and uploaded to the IBAO account by the Candidate's supervisor.

Course Duration: 18 Months
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Course Fee: £7000 GBP/10 Lac BDT

* Please note that the candidate must obtain 80% Mark to Pass the ABA Program.

Candidates will receive 50 hours of supervision of the 1000 hours of supervised practice.
Two different types of supervision are required of supervisors:
1. Direct Observation Supervision and
2. Non-observation Supervision.

  • 20 hours of supervision must be Direct Observation.
  • 20 hours of supervision must be Non-Observation.
  • 10 can be either Direct Observation or Non-Observation, in any combination.

Candidate Skills Testing:

During the supervised practice hours, the candidate's supervisor will conduct Candidate Skills Testing (CST) on the implementation of a skill set expected of the candidate based on the roles and skills being demonstrated under supervision.

Continuing Education:

One of the most important aspects of being certified as an IBA is continuing to learn and develop professionally.
12 hours of continuing education are required prior to certification, and must include:

  • 2 Hours of Ethics
  • 2 Hours in Supervision
  • 2 Hours in Cultural Diversity and Awareness
  • 6 Hours in ABA Topics
Fees for Pre-Certification Continuing Education: £200GBP/20K BDT

  • Online Exam, No Test Centers Online and Virtual Proctoring
  • 150 Multiple Choice or True/False Questions
  • 3 Hours to Complete Exam
  • 7 Broad Behavioral Categories Tested
